Mission Statement
My passion is to inspire through beauty. Whether
it be through the beauty and resonance of metal and stone, the sharing
of a meaningful quote or, a photo which captures the delicacy of
a moment of truth. For me, beauty inspires gratitude and appreciation
for the world in which we live, for each other, and for life itself.
My wish is that this jewelry reminds you that you are created from
the same source that imbues a ruby with it’s earthy sparkle
or gold with it’s timeless radiance. I truly believe that
when we expand into our brilliant selves, we develop a sensitivity
to see, to feel, to know on a deeper level of existence and that
this sensitivity develops within us, a desire to respect and protect
our world, --the animals, the elements, the people. We naturally
develop a desire to help end the suffering of others and a wish
to remind others of their own true beauty. I hope as you wear this
jewelry, you will feel the heart and delight that went into creating
it.
In love and light,
Mikelle Terson
“Be your dazzling self
and you make the world brighter!!”
About Mikelle
Mikelle began teaching in 1985. She has taught
at the Equinox, Chelsea Piers and Reebok clubs in NY. She assisted
Bikram Choudhury in his first visit to Kripalu and has taught the
residents there. For many years, she has worked with the Ross School,
a progressive private school in East Hampton, and has had the opportunity
to develop a morning wellness program of yoga with fellow teacher
Thomas Michael Amelio. They taught 400 students and teachers together,
ages 9 thru 60 at once. It was quite a rich experience! In 1995,
she began offering Yoga Retreats in St. Barts. She travels extensively
with her private clients throughout the world.
In her private work, students had the opportunity to move deeply
into their growth process and Mikelle realized in would be a great
aid to them if she could guide them on the psychological realm as
well as the spiritual. She then studied Gestalt Therapy and Rogerian
Therapy. After finishing her training in Advanced Gestalt Therapy,
she co-taught Russian immigrants to use some of the principals of
Gestalt Therapy in their various fields. The program was taught
in English with a Russian translator, and Mikelle says it was such
a beautiful experience of how truth, soul, and community exist beyond
language and words.
Mikelle is a graduate of Cornell University, with a degree in Biology.
She was also a competitive gymnast for the University of Florida.
It was in Florida, where she meet her first teacher, Richard Michael
Odom and her love of yoga began. She has studied with many teachers
throughout the years, some of whom include Bikram, Swami Bua, Oonasia,
Rod Stryker, Ross Rayburn and her guru Panditji
Rajmani Tiguinait spiritual leader of the Himalayan Institute.
"We all have this beautiful unique self that is our own expression
of the Divine Light. I have found that yoga polishes the stone,
chipping away fear, doubt, illusion, bad habits, so we can shine
as the jewels that we truly are. Yoga has been such a gift to me
in my life. It is an honor and a joy to be able to share it with
others."
Mikelle's artistic talent, (she is a painter, poet and published
writer), brings a delightful and spontaneous creativity to her work.
Her love of color and beauty eventually evolved into making jewelry.
She feels that gems are a celebration of the beauty and mystery
contained in the earth, and when worn, not only are we enhanced
by the energetic properties of the stones but they help us to celebrate
and twinkle as our beautiful selves.
