Mission Statement

My passion is to inspire through beauty. Whether it be through the beauty and resonance of metal and stone, the sharing of a meaningful quote or, a photo which captures the delicacy of a moment of truth. For me, beauty inspires gratitude and appreciation for the world in which we live, for each other, and for life itself. My wish is that this jewelry reminds you that you are created from the same source that imbues a ruby with it’s earthy sparkle or gold with it’s timeless radiance. I truly believe that when we expand into our brilliant selves, we develop a sensitivity to see, to feel, to know on a deeper level of existence and that this sensitivity develops within us, a desire to respect and protect our world, --the animals, the elements, the people. We naturally develop a desire to help end the suffering of others and a wish to remind others of their own true beauty. I hope as you wear this jewelry, you will feel the heart and delight that went into creating it.

In love and light,
Mikelle Terson

and you make the world brighter!!”

About Mikelle

Much like the historic Upper West Side block her design studio is ensconced in, Mikelle Terson's background is steeped in memorable vignettes. Far from a fly-by-night operation, her jewelry has been developed thoughtfully over the past seven years.

Becoming a jewelry designer was never part of her career plans when the native New Yorker returned to the city 20 years ago. After an injury sidelined her collegiate gymnastics career, she first put that athleticism to work as a yoga instructor. During that time, Mikelle began collecting and reworking pendants and antique pieces, and strangers started stopping her on the street. In 2002, she brought a box of her creations to a yoga conference, sold the bulk of them and her profession soon switched gears to include jewelry design.

All along her aim has been to reach more people and develop projects that benefit impoverished women and children around the globe. Years before there was a heightened public awareness, Mikelle visited Africa and was moved to start selling select items to help those affected by the HIV/AIDS crisis and other seemingly insurmountable circumstances. The objective for her company is to empower and inspire women, while being a platform for humanitarian efforts. She firmly believes we can celebrate ourselves and support other people at the same time.

With a knack for knowing which designs are best suited for each woman, she likes nothing more than to see a woman's energy lift when they try on a piece of jewelry that is right for them. "I want women to be reminded of how incredible they are, how beautiful life is and how we can choose to celebrate this and live with joy and appreciation," she says.
